PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how TidyGuard (the “App”) handles information when you use its features, including photo and video cleanup, email cleanup, private storage, and device information display. It also explains your choices regarding access, storage, sharing, and deletion.

1. Photos and Videos

With your permission, the App accesses photos and videos within the scope allowed by your device settings. It processes media content and relevant file information, such as media type, file size, date, dimensions, and duration, to scan, group, preview, sort, and help you select items for cleanup.

Cleanup categories include similar photos, duplicate photos, screenshots, blurry photos, burst photos, large videos, similar videos, and screen recordings.

If you allow access to selected photos and videos only, scanning and results are limited to that selection. You can change the access scope or revoke permission in your device settings.

Photo library items are deleted only after you initiate deletion and confirm the system’s deletion request. Successfully deleted items move to the system’s Recently Deleted collection.

2. Email Connection and Processing

If you choose to connect an Outlook or Hotmail account, the App uses the authorization you grant to access email information needed for its cleanup features.

This information includes your connected email address, sender and recipient information, message subjects, message bodies and previews, dates, and attachment information such as names, formats, and sizes. It is used to display your account, classify messages, group messages by sender, show email details, and carry out cleanup actions you confirm.

The App organizes messages into large attachments, old mail, marketing mail, notification mail, and groups by sender. Email content is processed as needed to determine the relevant categories.

When you open a supported attachment, its contents are downloaded to a temporary file on your device and opened using the system’s file preview.

Email cleanup moves the entire selected message, including its attachments, to Deleted Items after your confirmation. It does not remove only the attachment from a message.

You can switch accounts or sign out through the App’s account controls. Signing out disconnects the current account in the App and does not delete the Microsoft account or its emails.

3. Privacy Vault

Privacy Vault stores the photos, videos, and files you choose to import on your device. The App does not upload Vault contents to its servers.

Imported items are stored as separate copies. After photos or videos are successfully imported, you can keep the originals in Photos or request their deletion through the system confirmation. Original files remain in their source location when imported through the file import feature.

The Vault uses a four-digit PIN for access verification. If you enable Face ID, the App uses system authentication to verify access. The App receives the authentication result and cannot access the facial biometric data used by Face ID.

The Vault locks when you leave it or when the App moves to the background. Access requires authentication again.

Deleting an item from the Vault permanently removes that Vault copy. Copies stored outside the Vault remain unchanged.

4. Export, Sharing, and Watermarks

You can export selected Vault items using the system share sheet and choose where to save or share them. The selected content will be made available to the destination you choose.

For image exports, you can add a text watermark. Watermarks are applied only to exported copies; the original items in the Vault remain unchanged. Your last confirmed watermark text is stored on your device for future use.

Content saved or shared outside the Vault is subject to the access controls and privacy practices of its destination. The Vault’s PIN and Face ID controls do not apply to those external copies.

5. Device Information and Support

The App reads your device model, operating system version, total, used, and available storage, battery level, charging status, and Low Power Mode status to display device information and storage results.

If you contact the support team, the email address, message, and attachments you provide are used to respond to your request and investigate the reported issue. Please provide only the information needed to explain your request.

6. Permissions and Third-Party Services

TidyGuard does not integrate third-party SDKs.

Photo library access, mailbox authorization, and Face ID are used for their respective features. Files are accessed through the content you select for import or preview. Declining access may limit the related feature.

Mailbox connection and email operations interact with Microsoft services. Microsoft’s handling of information is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

The App uses iOS features for permission requests, authentication, photo deletion, file preview, and sharing. Information about Apple’s privacy practices is available in the Apple Privacy Policy.

When you select another app or service as a sharing destination, that destination’s terms and privacy policy apply to its handling of the shared content.

7. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Vault contents remain on your device until you delete them or the local App data is otherwise removed. Exporting an item does not automatically delete its Vault copy.

Removing the App or losing access to the device may result in loss of locally stored Vault contents. Export any content you wish to keep before removing the App.

Photos moved to Recently Deleted and emails moved to Deleted Items remain subject to the retention and recovery rules of the corresponding system or email service. Deleting a Vault copy does not remove an original or exported copy stored elsewhere.

Temporary files and cached information are retained only for as long as necessary to support the relevant features. Support communications are retained for as long as necessary to respond to the request, resolve related issues, or meet applicable legal requirements.

Retention by Microsoft, Apple, or a destination you select for sharing is governed by the applicable service’s policies and your settings.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can manage photo library and Face ID permissions in your device settings, sign out of the connected mailbox, delete Vault items, and choose whether and where to export content.

Signing out of a mailbox, withdrawing authorization, deleting cached data, and deleting emails are separate actions. Revoking permission does not automatically undo completed actions or delete information previously transferred.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

9. Security and Children’s Privacy

The App’s access controls are intended to reduce unauthorized access. No device or software protection can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and PIN secure and review content before sharing it outside the App.

Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent to process a child’s personal information, that consent must be obtained before the processing begins. Concerns about the handling of a child’s information can be reported to tidyguardteam2026@outlook.com.

10. Policy Updates and Contact

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in features, information handling, or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date will be revised, and material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice. Where required by law, consent will be requested before new processing begins.
